JHF joined the 3rd Roundtable meeting with Ginnie Mae

Japan Housing Finance Agency (“JHF”) joined the “3rd U.S.-Japan Housing Finance and Capital Market Roundtable” with the Government National Mortgage Association (“Ginnie Mae”), on June 10th, 2021. The Roundtable was held online.
The Roundtable was held in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concluded between JHF and Ginnie Mae in January 2014.
After the welcoming remarks by Honorable Erika Moritsugu, Deputy Assistant to the President and White House AAPI Senior Liaison, Mr. Michael Drayne, Acting Executive Vice President of Ginnie Mae, delivered the opening remarks followed by MOURI Shinji, President of JHF.
Three major topics were covered during the Roundtable: “Policy Review”,” Housing Finance Innovation” and “Housing Finance and Climate Change” in the U.S. and in Japan.
About 50 people from both countries joined the Roundtable and actively exchanged opinions and expertise in global housing finance market.
