As efforts to tackle climate change have been accelerating worldwide, the Japanese government declared “Carbon Neutrality by 2050” to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and announced its objective to realize a decarbonized society.

In addition,“establishment of a housing circulation system and formation of high-quality housing stock for a decarbonized society" is set as one of the goals for ensuring the stability of and promoting the improvement of housing in the Basic Plan for Housing (Cabinet decision on March 19th, 2021).

Therefore, JHF recognizes that climate change countermeasures are crucial issues, and will continue to promote such countermeasures through the provision of various financial services.

Furthermore, JHF will appropriately disclose information based on the recommendations of TCFD after its endorsement, and work to advance its efforts toward climate change while paying close attention to the response in Japan in accordance with the international trends regarding the update of disclosure standards.

*TCFD released its final report in June 2017 and has recommended companies and organizations to disclose four thematic areas (governance, strategy, risk management and metrics/targets) related to climate change-related risks and opportunities.

Details of disclosures by JHF based on the TCFD recommendations will be described in the "Integrated Report 2022" to be issued at the end of July, 2022.
After issuing the integrated report, JHF will post the electronic data of it on the following link, so please have a look.
